O2 has announced that Plymouth, Swansea, Lancaster, Exmouth, Ripley and Shrewsbury are some of the latest location to receive 4G. The O2 4G network continues to grow in both urban and rural locations and is available to O2 customers in over 5,300 towns, cities and villages across the UK. O2's latest coverage is almost 71% indoor population, which is around 81.5% outdoor population coverage. The network will also continue to upgrade its 2G and 3G networks and roll out 4G as part of its five-year £3bn plus network modernisation program until the target of 98% UK (indoor) population coverage by the end of 2017 is achieved.
